Hello again

This is my official end of the hiatus post. I know there are many blogs that start off strong and then sort of burn out. I have to admit and accept I was just about one of them. Here’s a quick recap of what has been going in my personal life that took energy and time away from Debutante Clothing…

1. Divorce – yup. Nuff said.

2. Death of a 16 year old student

Same day as the divorce. I think this one hit me even harder than the divorce because my student passed away from complications of undiagnosed type 1 Diabetes (which I also have).

3. Bought a home

I seriously needed something to pull me out of the funk. I had been waiting for the housing market to stop being so damn psycho. I took the plunge on a cute little 1954 suburban ranch. More to come.

4. A new relationship

So far so good!

Phew! So much has happened. I hope you will all forgive me for abandoning the blog for a bit. Can we be friends again???

I, too, went through a divorce recently and came out the other side in tact! I found it to be a very taboo topic and felt isolated. Because of that, I handled it on my own and am stronger for it (and also in a happy relationship now).

Welcome back!

I saw your comment on IFB about coming back after a year and gotta say… it kind of inspired me and made me realize it’s OK to take time away to take care of the pressing issues in real life & regroup.

Hope you’re doing well, m’dear!

Hi Ashe! Oh your comment warmed my heart. Yeah, my life was a mess but I am back and plugging away, with a new found motivation. It feels good. You always have to take care of YOU first. Happy to see you!

xo,
SAndra
