H&M & Lanvin & Vintage
It’s here! The Lanvin for H&M collaboration is here. It seems like ages ago that the news leaked about this highly coveted collaboration. Danica Lo from Racked has posted some amazing pictures.
I know Target is the king of collabs, but honestly, the only collection I have been impressed with was the Alexander Mcqueen (doing the sign of the cross like a good Mexican Catholic girl should as a prayer for the passed). But when I read about the Lanvin collection, my couture-taste-on-a-thrift-store-budget heart raced. And the line is gorgeous – from here. There’s already some backlash on the quality and the prices. Dresses are priced at about $200. Definitely on the high side for H&M. I’ll have to wait and see.

If you would rather have the real deal, an authentic Lanvin for Lanvin dress, then you’re in luck. I am listing a vintage Lanvin dress from the 1970s next week! Here’s a preview:

Leave me a comment or email me if you would like to be notified when this dress goes live!
Edit –
I forgot to post a beautiful video that BarracudaTV.se was kind enough to send me about the Lanvin H&M collaboration. I love Alber Elbaz!

I had a vintage Lanvin shirtdress like this a while back but had to sell it cause I needed the $$$ so sad
The Lanvin for H&m sure is pretty but as someone else pointed out somewhere, what it might cost on sale for the nicer pieces, or as you show here for authentic vintage.
It’s always hard to part with good vintage isn’t it? This one doesn’t fit me, otherwise I’d be keeping it! Someone made that comment on Racked too. If I can get real Lanvin, who cares if it’s a past season, for a tad more, I might second guess the collab pieces. I’ll wait to see the quality.
Can’t wait for the Lanvin lane at H&M!
GLOSSING OVER IT
Hi Susan! Thanks for stopping by. I LOVE your blog!
That tulle dress looks promising … can’t wait to check out the real thing. As you say, often these collaborations disappoint in quality. Target photographs and advertises the designer offerings so well, and when I get to the store I think: “cannot believe a designer actually put her name on this shoddy garment.”
I like the tulle as well and the accessories. We’ll see. I have found some quality pieces at H&M, hopefully the Lanvin line stands up to that quality. Thanks for stopping by!
