Vintage Inspired Booties
One of the topics I rarely cover here on Debutante Clothing is shoes. But now I get to do just that at FantasticToe.com. I will be gabbing about vintage, vintage inspired and runway inspired shoes (at prices we can actually afford). Come check out Debutante's Shoebox!
I have a round up of the best vintage inspired booties on the web. The great thing about Fantastic Toe is that you can upload images of your own shoes to your "collection". It's kind of like "What Are You Wearing?" but for shoe lovers.
One of my fellow bloggers discovered THE cutest pair of wedge booties I have ever seen. I want these so bad I can't contain myself. I can't do a huge heel, so this wedge heel is perfect. And look at the bow? Aren't these perfection? My only fear is that I will look a bit cartoonish because they are so "adorable". Like a Hispanic Harajuku girl. What do you think?

Those boots are adorable!!! I thought I was the only person who couldn't find boots that had a vintage flair. Most boots really bore me, but I could work those :)

Hi Patti! Glad you commented. No, you are not alone. I have always found boots a chore because I can never find cute vintage inspired ones. I was thrilled when I found these.

ohh, I love them both, but the second are really great. I'm loving that typer of half wedge half heel think this season.

I LOVE these! I'm such a huge fan of those buttons up the side. I started noticing them last year but couldn't afford them: my vintage search is on!

I love the button up ones too! McQueen has some killer button up booties that fold over. They are beautiful! But, alas, can't afford them.

I have and LOOOVE the Corso Como booties/wedges! They're definitely my favorite pair of black "heels."
And boy are they getting popular... Nubby, Princess Poochie, & I all have them, and they're getting tons of blog coverage!

Asche,
Are they comfy? I love them so much. I have never seen such a perfect shoe for me. I plan on ordering them from Zappos as soon as I return some shoes that didn't work out for me, but if they are getting this huge, I should order asap!
Damn, I have to check their blogs. I hadn't seen them around until I saw them on Fantastic Toe. Did you check out the rest of the booties I found?

Don't go through Zappos-- Google Search Corso Como Dodie... There's a company/site selling them for like $166. I ordered through there (I think they're an Yahoo Affiliate), and their return policies were as good as Zappos!
And seriously, the first time I put them on, I felt like I stepped on heaven. It can be difficult adjusting to the heel height if you don't wear an almost 4" every day, but otherwise, they are SO AMAZING. I think it took me a bit longer than most because I have a slightly wider foot, but they're so delicious. Seriouslyseriouslyseriously.
I also recommend tying them in the back. If you do a bow in the front, it loosens up REALLY quickly and can make it awkward to walk in. Knotting them in the back (check out Nubby's post for the idea/visual) makes them more secure & easy to walk in!

I just realized how much more they are at Zappos. Went to Nordies.com and they're about $20 cheaper. I'll keep looking though. I was wondering about the bow thing. I imagine they start to look like hard edged calf boots and rock back and forth if the bow comes loose. I read that it had a cushioned insole - fantastic! I'm not used to walking in high heels everyday so I probably wouldn't wear them to the day job.
They are freaking adorable though.
