Vintage TV - The Way We Wore Re-Works Vintage for Earth Day
If you're looking for a way to celebrate Earth Day, don't drive there! Just revamp stuff you have in your own closet. Of course, it helps if you have a talented designer laying around to help you.
Vintage Couture legendary boutique, The Way We Wore, will be hosting a very special event where several famous designers will revamp vintage and create an entirely new look in honor of Earth Day, April 22nd. While I usually don't condone the cutting of vintage, in capable and educated hands, reworking vintage can breathe new life into an otherwise unwearable garment. Be sure to check out these one of a kind items when they go to auction on Ebay.com. How will you celebrate Earth Day?

I'm so glad that they are doing this! It's true it would pain me to see a vintage Pucci get shredded but if you make it yours and it works why not?!

Oh I love doing this! Some vintage items I just can't bear to change in any way, but some are damaged but still beautiful fabric, why not reinvent it? (Although Jenny, I did alter a vintage Pucci slightly as it was enormous and I wasn't willing to part with it, but I kept the integrity of the piece and now it gets loads of wear! Plus I did it in a way that I can take out a few stitches, and voila! Same original Pucci!) Thanks for posting this, I can't wait to see the creations!
