Happy Birthday Marilyn Monroe!

Today would've been Marilyn Monroe's 83rd birthday. The glamorous and sexy icon will never be forgotten. Especially now that she has gone Web 2.0.

A new social networking site created by ThisIsMarilyn.com, will be announced today at their annual Marilyn Monroe celebration. To celebrate the launch of ThisIsMarilyn.com the site is giving away $100,000 in highly sought after vintage photographs and limited edition prints. They include original photographs and signed prints from personal friends of Marilyn Monroe, Andre de Dienes and George Barris.

The contest which starts on June 1st, 2009 (Marilyn Monroe's Birthday) will award 55 prizes ranging in value from $800 to a grand prize worth over $15,000 will end on August 5th (the anniversary of her death). Official rules will be posted on the website. The contest is being sponsored by One West Publishing, Inc., George Barris and the Andre de Dienes Estate.
