As everyone knows, Valentino has retired. One, well anyone on Cathy Horyn’s blog, can argue whether or not he is one of fashion’s greats. The man makes beautiful dress. And for women who want to actually wear fashion, not just analyze it, isn’t that the point of designing?
Of course the gowns are stunning and a complete throwback to the women he remembers:
Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor. In addition to the vintage inspired gowns, dresses and hats, the entire production is a throw back to the glamorous days of runway shows. The music was perfect.
